The professor won a Pulitzer Prize for the 1619 Project. Then a southern school whose mascot is a Confederate Soldier nickname - Tarheel - initially denied her tenure....making a strong case that CRT is persistent. PS - Yes, slaves were brought here from Africa in 1619.
