How many square feet does a house have to be to properly be a McMansion? Is it really a mansion, or is the 'Mc' part of it--that self-consciously faux-expensive chintzy look--the critical ingredient?

Seems like it's well over 3,000 square feet, and way too big for the lot. Just making sure if I was looking at Reno McMansions or not here. Seems like it squeaks just under.

Earlier replies, claimed it was less size, and house/lot ratio. Now there's an absolute minimum. This is a complex topic apparently.
