Great piece here by @ScottMGreer that does not have to be incompatible with the great research @realchrisrufo is doing
We want to expose CRT and acknowledge it for what it is -- anti-white racismhttps://twitter.com/ScottMGreer/status/1409507648945504259 …

The winning coalition against critical race theory must be multiracial and must emphasize the superordinate category of "American," which can provide a shared identity for all groups and lead to greater unity. That's what I'm hoping to build.

In American politics, "white" is the veiled short-hand for Anglo-Americans and Anglicized white Americans, a specific ethnic or national group, but not rich or substantive enough for Rufo. The "I'm not white, I'm Italian" schtick reinforces CRT.

“Italian” is to “white” what “Korean” is to “AAPI”, but the establishment pushes AAPI because they know a bigger tent means more potential political power.

1/2 Those Italian, French, Dutch, Irish, Italian, etc cultures have been lost for decades, following generations of intermarriage by white Americans. This isn't the 1940s anymore. and your idea passed its sell-by date long ago.

I grew up identifying with cowboys, pilgrims, baseball. I have grandparents from outside this country. But I'm not a Slovak or Mexican or Irish.

2/2 Take the guy in this picture: How is he supposed to "be" an Irishman when his ancestors have been in America since the Potato Famine? Celebrating our European roots to the Nth degree, regardless of how little a fraction or how long since leaving Europe, is LARPing.pic.twitter.com/4wb4enGVNb

I'm a third generation American on both sides: the chart is me. There's Norman, English, Irish, Norwegian, and German (at the least). My ancestors willingly embraced American culture and ethnic traditions were not passed down. They had their new homeland and jettisoned the rest.
