and I think Yarvin also misses that the fight Rufo has instigated, exactly because it will prove to be as ineffectual as Yarvin predicts, is not the first step in reforming the schools but the first step in convincing Grill Americans to abandon them altogether

Yarvin is too pessimistic. We have inspired millions of parents to get into the fight—it is now a real political movement. And how does Yarvin know my ultimate aims? From half a quote in the New Yorker? This is only the beginning.

Your work makes sense as a form of rear-guard action - necessary, even heroic, but still defensive/conservative. It provides decent people the time and breathing room to reorient their mindset and prepare, but a positive vision (like Yarvin’s) is needed for long term success
