Bans, consent decrees, civil actions, and eventually SCOTUS. All of it unnecessary. Just let parents and local elected school boards decide what's best for their own communities. And, yes, educate and organize parents about CRT. This is the way America is supposed to work.https://twitter.com/FischerKing64/status/1398767819525816323 …

They are laying the groundwork to overturn the CRT bans that Rufo is passing at state level. Expect research papers supporting idea that lack of CRT is 'abuse' and causes 'harm.' Hook for the 14A lawsuit by ACLU. Or cities bringing in feds by 'consent decree' to undercut states. https://twitter.com/MythinformedMKE/status/1397977839828361220 …

Those are the tools and institutional levers in our republic. Why would we unilaterally concede them to our opponents?

We wouldn't have to be talking about conceding institutional levers if there was an understanding among all Americans that every community is allowed to decide these matters for themselves. "I won't poke my nose into Portland's business, if they won't poke theirs into mine."

Of course, but that's what these bills do: the curriculum in Texas will look different than the curriculum in California. CA, OR, and WA have recently mandated critical race theory into the state K-12 curriculum; TX, ID, and OK have a similar right to prohibit it. Federalism.

Mandated? In California, for example, the state-designed "ethnic studies" curriculum is to be used only as "a guide for those schools and districts that wish to offer to such a course." Local districts can opt out. Many will.
