I take the civil libertarian position, too: these bills protect the right to conscience, the right to be treated equally under law, and the right to public institutions that do not discriminate on the basis of race.
Every day, in every way, i remain shocked that anyone would see dark skin as any thing other than dark skin. Really.
Why are the laws being passed so broad as to not provide a definition of CRT? Why is your states goal to obfuscate definitions then push socially conservative curriculum?
I agree, her painting him as the “civil libertarian” is quite absurd. It only reveals her bias preference which is fine but she should try be less obvious.
Such a great debate. Really appreciate the experience @DavidAFrench has in these discussions, but I found myself way more sympathetic to you (@realchrisrufo ) than I thought I would be. I’m not a lawyer so I still feel iffy taking a strong side, but really hope we get it right.
