Marcuse endorsed violent revolution and adapted the concept of historical materialism, arguing that society would burst through to a "qualitative difference" with the inevitable dialectical overthrow of capitalism, moving from the realm of necessity to the realm of freedom.
I listened to a lot of the BLM speeches during the CHAZ occupation in Seattle. It's textbook CRT married to violent Angela Davis-style rhetoric (and a dash of anarchism). Davis was Marcuse's doctoral student and avowed Communist. The riots last year can be seen in this context.
