Needs to go a step beyond generic 'individualism' IMO. Play by their rules and mention the endless modern marvels and inventions built from enlightenment by whites. Also point out that white culture differs massively across countries & ethnicities, as does black culture.

Also this is reducing many ethnicities to just "white". You can be proud of cultural heritage whether it's African, Irish, Italian, Chinese, etc.
