Ironically, these "fact-checkers" are usually on the wrong side of truth, once it comes out. And - in contrast to history - there is actually a wrong side, when it comes to the truth

Every time I see the phrase "fact-checker" I mentally substitute the word "liar". Works pretty well, particularly on political issues.
