Yes, agree. I see the lineage like this: Marxism (animating idea) to Marxism-Leninism (failed in Russia) to Neo-Marxism (critical theory, reacting to the failure in Russia) to critical race theory (reanimating critical theory with a focus on race, following Marcuse Freire Davis).
