The deeper roots of CRT are critical theory (Marcuse), critical pedagogy (Freire), antiracism (Angela Davis), all of whom were committed Marxists. Even Kendi says "you can't be antiracist without being anticapitalist." The means is race; the end is Marxist revolution.

Nah, the essence of the Diversity-Inclusion-Equity (DIE) movement is to get their hands on your home equity. They aren't against property rights in general, just your right to your property. They intend to have the government protect their new property once they take it from you.

True, but CRT is bad enough on its face that it’s worth contesting on its merits (which you do). I think the M-word concern is that if we’re not willing to contest anti-White policies because they’re anti-White, then our own position will become vapid & ideologically untenable.

I would bring in Fisher (& Derrida) & say wokeness is haunted by Marxism; by the abolition & civil rights movements too. It’s the old grandeur & heroism that haunt (farcical) wokeness. There is no coherent end for wokeness, it’s a set of practices rather than a programme.

Baudrillard made the point about 20 years ago that a purposive rationality characterised modernity in its heyday,but by the early 21st C this was gone. Western modernity is now in its dotage (Biden is thus perfectly symbolic of the current state of affairs).
