Logically, wouldn't there have to be an increase in performance if test TAKING increased (say) 45%, but scores remained at least stable? Sorting this out is a big problem: SAT scores have "been stable for years," but the percentage of B and W kids taking the exam is now 65+%.

@realchrisrufo noted yesterday, Sowell (2020) finds that charter school students do 200+ SAT points better than identical kids who were in the same charter lottery but not picked.
