I'm against states limiting what local school districts can teach, even if it's critical race theory. These bills are antithetical to maximizing freedom and democracy. Prob is curriculum is held hostage to leftist coalition interests: teachers unions and university schools of education. What needs to happen is breaking the unions and making credentialing conditional on passing an exam for subject matter mastery which knee caps schools of Ed.

But that won’t happen because teachers own the Ed policy lane in the Democratic Party. And basically pub schools are an appendage of teacher union interests.
