And that is the way they need to fight it. They need to call out racial essentialism as racism. They need to highlight how it advocates neo-segregation and remind people that separate is inherently unequal.

Many on the center-Left do not object to what is presented in the article because they want to protect their team. They will claim to not support it... but will then fight tooth and nail to protect the racists controlling our institutions.
