I've spent quite a bit of time in Nigeria with the country's elites and quite a bit of time on Ivy League campuses. The most talented 30,000 Nigerians would blow away the American prep-school legacy candidates any day of the week.

in some ways it is. not everyone has the privilege of self and societal reflection. not to mention these countries already lean towards social conservatism. it's a sad state cause I advocate for the opposite but lack of opportunity/wealth tends to breed divisive resentment
