I know I'm old-fashioned, but I can't help thinking that what makes sense in academic institutions is not to ban critcal race theory, or any other view or approach, but also not to give it a monopoly or privileged position over other views and approaches. What's wrong with that?

I'm with you 100%--outspokenly so--in opposing mandatory workplace or student indoctrination, including indoctrination based on race and gender theories. Believe me, you have no stronger ally. These "re-education" programs are an affont to liberty of thought and to human dignity.

People absolutely are suggesting bans. I believe you tweeted favorably the other day about Florida’s proposed legislation on the subject.

CRT should absolutely be banned in the classroom, if it is to be taught as factual. If a school wants to bring it in, then CRT should only ever be taught as a contested theory along with some alternative viewpoints, so students can make informed judgements.

I think many people would be suggesting bans on CRT, especially in elementary through high school.

I'm suggesting a ban on critical race theory in academic work and the classroom!

•Teachers are brainwashed at college •They learn it’s their duty to do the same w/their students, because they’re “fighting for a better world” •They’re told they have freedom of speech •Parents don't know what happens in classroom •Students don’t know they’re being abused

The whole “theory” should be ditched from any policy anywhere period. If it’s going to be taught then teach it at schools of “natural medicine” and homeopathy where science and rational thought go to die.

Critical race theory need not be banned. But it must be treated as what it is (& preferably with exceeding brevity), like alchemy or scientific racism or social Darwinism: students may be made aware that it exists & what the discredited idea says - but that's where it should end.
