Then Haidt pivots to Twitter when Instagram is the offender there. Lots of pedo grooming happening on platforms too. He seems out of his depth on these issues.
Agreed. And obsessive video game use absolutely hurts adolescent boys. I've seen this among my oldest son's peer group. It breeds dull, apathetic, anxious kids.

It can do that. While it is also a means for connection in a world run by scared people, digital communications make it easier to say things you don't have to back up as in the "old days" though. No nuance, context or physical reading of people, all important aspects.
