Theory: Right and left put way too much stock in the content of diversity training materials. They treat it as culture-changing stuff when most folks approach it with a sense of bored irritation, a box they have to check before they get back to their days.

It has infected nearly all public discussion here in Seattle and during session down in Olympia. You literally can't make a good faith argument against anything without it being put into a racist/white privilege lens. Pernicious stuff infecting the public square.

His post represents the old school conservative mindset that brought us up to this point. We should have had fighters going back to the late 90's, and instead our (I was there) entire approach was: "It's not that bad. Why sweat the little stuff?" The proverbial moral highroad.

Is he minimizing it or saying most people think it’s boring? Honestly, I find it easy to believe that corporate drones are just picking any curriculum and installing it without much thought - leading to stress and abuse on the job.

He's minimising it because he supports it. This ideology thrives in darkness. They cheer it on when they think no one's looking, but in public they'll downplay it or deny it exists at all. It's the only ideology I know of where people are ashamed/afraid to be associated with it
