Don't even know how to respond to this. Hitler scholar says, "Well, this particular chapter is more about the logistics of rebuilding the Nazi party, not about Hitler's racial theorizing per se." To which a non-Hitler scholar responds, "Nuh uh, the whole book is about that stuff"
The point isn't that they used the "most racist stuff from Mein Kampf." The point is that they *plagiarized Hitler and published it an academic journal.* You don't need to be a Hitler scholar to understand how a joke works!

Except they re-wrote huge chunks of it so the only bits of MK left were common verbs. It wasn’t recognisably MK even to a scholar who specialises in MK.

I thought that the point of Sokol Squared was to get nonsense published, which they did. That one of the papers borrowed some from Mein Kampf was an extra joke as well as a great piece of publicity.
The real outrage is that we have academic depts that regularly publish nonsense & much of media could care less about an exposee on that unless there is shock value (such as the Mein Kampf stunt).
