Drama is so ill-defined. Tenet is technically a drama in my book, just a bad one.
Tenet isn't a drama. There's no character change, no emotional depth, no real catharsis. It's a schizophrenic action film.
His best was Memento. Or maybe Dark Knight. But he’s such a cold director.
My hot take is that DKR is the best Batman film. But, yes, Memento is his best. I also have a soft spot for Insomnia, but it’s a supremely flawed film. Still, Pacino’s performance is great, and Nolan directs the hell out of it.
That’s what makes it a bad one.
But it’s such a cool schizophrenic action film!
