Actually they are supposed to be serving the taxpayer (society). The child is the product. The teaching is the process. The defining of students as customers consumers is at the heart of the problem in the West.

Supplying cogent terminology such as you have (e.g., neo-segregation) is crucial to that supportive mission. Unfortunately, these "advocates" have a decades long head start manufacturing terminology that has the veneer of academic credibility and must be likewise combatted.
