I'm not, actually. Dr. Seuss has been tarnished as "racist" and taken off the shelves of private booksellers; Drag Queen Storytime has been deemed "good" and "progressive" and installed in public libraries. It's not legal power deciding this; as I said, it's cultural power.
Your version of "cultural power" sounds awfully close to what I would call "people doing things of their own volition". Is this just a roundabout way of complaining that public opinion is against you? Or are you alleging some kind of false consciousness among librarians?
