Deneen's idea of anticulture is apt here. The cultural left has functioned on negation; they will find it difficult to operate in any other way. Their cultural symbols will begin to eat themselves.

Vaclav Havel’s essay Stories and Totalitarianism raises the similar point that the leftist regime wants and needs the culture, as such, to die. All stories get flattened and homogenized into a single all encompassing ideological narrative. Art is its enemy.
