Hmmm, let's test that with Vietnamese-Americans: 1) low educational capital on arrival; 2) many came as refugees fleeing extreme poverty; 3) massive trauma from war; 4) faced discrimination, including from blue state governors. And they're successful.

Not anywhere as close to “successful” as Indians due to that capital starting point btw.... Indians, Vietnamese face discrimination (can tell you plenty of personal stories) but not on systemic level like Blacks have or even Latinos.

This comparative measure of discrimination--is this anecdotal, empirical, longitudinal, a combination thereof? And once you've identified the unit of measure, can you tell us the inflection point at which mere discrimination becomes systemic?
