I would be interested in an honest debate and dialogue, not a duel. The aim would be to identify points of agreement and difference and to try to see where the deep fissures are and why. I think that kind of dialogue is the kind we are not having but need to have.

As someone who follows both of you on here, my impression is that neither fully understands the other, you agree about more than you'd think, and it's possible that an exchange of ideas would be mutually beneficial at least insofar as future arguments would be more meaningful.
