The Beacon was my first real job out of college (bracketing a six month stint elsewhere), and I could not have asked for a better one. They gave me tremendous freedom and taught me a huge amount. Also, they let me move to rural MA to get married, which was nice.

I am extremely grateful to all the Beaconers, and particularly my bosses, for these past four years. If you are a young person, on the right, and interested in journalism, I will always be happy to talk to you about how great the Beacon is.

Anyway, on Monday I start in my new role as a full-time fellow
@ManhattanInst and a contributing editor at@CityJournal. I will be working on many of the same topics I have over the past four years—particularly crime and the new progressivism—but with a more think tank-y bent.6 replies 4 retweets 119 likesShow this thread -
The folks at Manhattan/CJ do incredible work, and I am so excited to be joining them, particularly in a period of what I expect to be exceptional growth of their/our mission and impact. Keep your eyes open for more of my work, all over the place, very soon!
