Do something more useful than fly fishing
Lol, fair enough. We're in coastal Washington State, so the fly fishing is fantastic. I also don't have any real hobbies (don't golf, don't play tennis), so want something good to do with my kids.

Nah don’t listen to it. Pick up fly fishing, and if you’re close to the coast, pick up surf fishing. There are perch and rockfish all up the coast of CA/OR/WA and a day at the beach fishing from the surf is a great way to enjoy fishing while ignoring everything else.

Flyfishing is great because you can spend the time at the vise with the kids as well. And you’ve got some of the best where you are. Don’t buy cheap hackle.
