Not sure COVID is the best example, but I’ve long thought Marcusean concepts help make sense of the world his disciples created.
Covid fits because, although some intervention is justified, they created exemptions for protected classes (large business, BLM protestors) while punishing outgroup classes (small business, anti-lockdown protestors). Wrote about it for CJ.
