Critical Race Theory will never turn into 1812 lawlessness. Four people are dead because of Christian Nationalism, not CRT. Can someone tell the SBC presidents, 1689ers, discernment blogger/Shenvi fans, etc. to fight the right fight, for once? #DCProtestspic.twitter.com/CBwqoBhRBr

I’ve got to go with Chris on this one, my friend. I don’t see how we can say that CRT/CRT-adjacent ideas didn’t motivate a good portion of the rioters this past summer (which claimed many lives).

The DC Protest was literally in the name of “Proud Christian America” whereas if CRT never existed it would’ve made no difference for BLM. Black Liberation Theology & Black Nationalism pre-date CRT by a long shot. Those were the reference points. CRT’s mainstreaming is post-hoc.

BLT and Black Nationalism strike me as in the same family as CRT.

I wrote a chapter in this book on how CRT and Black Liberation Theology are essentially the same. https://www.amazon.com/Critical-Theory-Academy-Vernon-Farmer/dp/164802131X/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=critical+race+theory+in+the+academy&qid=1610118016&sr=8-3 …

Right. In the US, Critical Theory, Black Power, Marxism, Antifascism, etc. are all interconnected ideologies. They planted the seed in the 1960s, we are seeing the fruits now. They have always used "police brutality" as a rallying cry, often legitimately. But the ideas go deeper.
