Critical Race Theory will never turn into 1812 lawlessness. Four people are dead because of Christian Nationalism, not CRT. Can someone tell the SBC presidents, 1689ers, discernment blogger/Shenvi fans, etc. to fight the right fight, for once? #DCProtestspic.twitter.com/CBwqoBhRBr

I’ve got to go with Chris on this one, my friend. I don’t see how we can say that CRT/CRT-adjacent ideas didn’t motivate a good portion of the rioters this past summer (which claimed many lives).

Pretty simple. CRT has been a largely obscure & unknown theory in legal theory to the general public. The ave BLM protestor last summer would have never heard of it or been taught it. But Christian Nationalism was front & center during Trump’s presidency.https://www.nbcnews.com/video/watch-trump-s-spiritual-adviser-paula-white-lead-prayer-service-for-outcome-of-election-95408709868 …

I would submit that whether rioters knew the term *CRT* is beside the point. The content of the ideas that motivated them to participate in riots in which lives were lost is the question.

People have been protesting abuses by people in power, esp in US, since forever. Had you talked about historical socialist agitation or Alinsky-ite tactics, I wouldn't have agreed with you, but it was at least plausible. Blaming CRT is flatly ridiculous.

Nikole Hannah Jones proudly agreed that the riots last year were the "1619 Riots." Ideologies have consequences.
