Chris, I disagree. I think we need to distinguish between an attack on our nation's capital building in order to thwart the election and harm government officials( they found explosive devices in government buildings! ) and the summer riots. This shouldn't be partisan.
I agree and have made this distinction previously. But remember that the BLM riots led to a score of violent deaths. Anarchists seized control of a neighborhood for three weeks. And the same institutions celebrated it.
I guess at this moment of crisis, that's not what I feel most threatened by. I'd really like to see people try to focus on the danger before us right now, rather than litigate our differences. I think the danger is real and unprecedented.
The thing is I don't forget last summer. That's compatible with me wanting to see America unite right now.
