Yesterday: the conservative intelligentsia immediately condemned political violence. All of 2020: the liberal intelligentsia justified, rationalized, and even celebrated political violence—for months.

Boiled down, you're saying "re: yesterday––I & the Right condemn it, but the Left has not condemned similar events." My objection: why is the second clause even an appropriate discussion topic at this particular juncture given the scale & uniqueness of what just transpired?
The latter would have never happened without the former. Normalizing violence led to more violence.

Very well, I'm willing to admit there is truth to that. Perhaps it's my own bias but I see it a tad unfair to focus on the (albeit egregious) excesses of the Left without acknowledging the unhinged, conspiratorial worldview of a faction of the Right & its aiders & abetters

Happy to acknowledge. Trump, Lin Wood, and others have pushed an unhinged conspiratorial narrative the past two months. I condemn it.
