Yesterday: the conservative intelligentsia immediately condemned political violence. All of 2020: the liberal intelligentsia justified, rationalized, and even celebrated political violence—for months.

You know what, Christopher? Less than one day after right-wingers breach the Capitol in an attempted insurrection––something that hasn't happened in over 200 years––might just not be the right time to start playing whataboutism.

Boiled down, you're saying "re: yesterday––I & the Right condemn it, but the Left has not condemned similar events." My objection: why is the second clause even an appropriate discussion topic at this particular juncture given the scale & uniqueness of what just transpired?

The latter would have never happened without the former. Normalizing violence led to more violence.
