Agree with you on salience and political imagery. But we've almost forgotten that the BLM protests led to the deaths of between 19 and 32 people. Anarchists seized territory in the middle of a city for weeks. And the left-media cheered it on.

Didn’t that ceded territory also lead to the death of a 16-year-old allegedly at the hands of the autonomous zone’s security. I wonder if the family ever got justice or if the death was essentially forgotten.

Also find it a bit ironic that the party that has been preaching disdain for America now all of a sudden cares very much for the iconography and sacredness of the Capitol. Seems convenient.
