The black woman’s quote said “we each” but this misleading thread says it’s about white teachers.https://twitter.com/realchrisrufo/status/1339938646745440256 …

The trainers tell white teachers that they "must commit to the journey" of anti-whiteness, even if their "lizard-brain" makes them "afraid that [they] will have to talk about sensitive issues such as race, racism, classism, sexism, or any kind of ‘ism.’" pic.twitter.com/hfU94v4Rjy

Do you think public schools "spirit murder" black children?

I think your threads purposefully interpret those sessions in the worst possible light and I’d rather not use your interpretations to come to any conclusions about whether they are useful or harmful.

Answer the question: do you think American public schools "spirit murder" black children? Simple yes or no.

According to the term's originator, it's the idea that Americans schools “murder the souls of Black children every day through systemic, institutionalized, anti-Black, state-sanctioned violence.”

Is your goal really to blow the whistle, as you like to claim? Or is your goal to distort things you might not understand and don’t seem to even be trying to understand better, even if you still ultimately disagreed with it?

You gonna answer any of mine. But, yes, I’ve seen the spirit of too many young black people murdered by the public school system. It also murdered mine and my son’s. Are you gonna answer my questions now? Or dodge?

-Yes, I've engaged with people who promote the trainings, as well as interviewed successful diversity training alternatives. -Yes, I know th school discipline stats. -The context is "white privilege" and directed towards white teachers. -Heat and light are both important.

And yet you seem to prefer heat and not much else, even when it makes serious, sober discussions more difficult. That’s why you did the “spirit murder” thing. It’s tiring.

I've written policy papers for Heritage, long reported essays for City Journal, and directed a feature-length documentary for PBS about American poverty. Lots of light for anyone who wants to see it.

Have you heard of stereotype threat or how telling black students the truth about our racial history and the challenges they face makes them more likely to work hard?

You’ve “engaged with people who promote the trainings.” I didn’t ask you that. I asked if you’ve spoken to people who have gone through the sessions and believed they were helpful? And if so, how many tweet threads did you do about their views?
