Agree in principal but: 1) Detroit was never as desirable to live as SF due to non-political factors (weather, geography, scenery, etc.) 2) economy was propped up by an industry that was globally disrupted and American companies in that industry in general have sucked wind
Yes, some truth to both of your points! By contrast, it would be much easier to move knowledge workers across state lines than to move car factories across national borders. It could theoretically happen faster in SF.

100% agree. SF Bay Area is probably too tech centric to the point most companies don’t even have office space due to limited supply + many go bankrupt quick due to Bay Area costs - distributing will be healthy. I just pray CA politics don’t tip the scales to unhealthy levels.
