I'm legitimately confused by "conservative" people, orgs, & publications that began as NeverTrump ("We're going to defend traditional conservative priorities from Trump") and evolved to "We need a full Dem trifecta that is unafraid to implement the progressive policy agenda."
For some of them like Lincoln Project, it's money: they can't return to careers on the right and they have a steady cash flow on the left.

You misread the Lincoln Project. They are conservatives who think that Trump and Trumpism are longer term threats to the country, than short term center-left policies we may disagree with. Btw I love your work, used to contribute $ to you until you came out all in for Trump.
