Reminds me of when I wrote a column in the editorial pages of the @latimes (1980s) and was the subject of angry/tearful complaints during a Senior Writers meeting with the Editor. Some things never change.

I should have been more specific: I was an assistant editor and wrote a biweekly column, the first 'staffer' to get a regular column on the page.
