It's worse than that: they explicitly reject reason, logic, and debate in their theoretical work. They won't debate because they reject the legitimacy of debate as a useful construct. (Conveniently, it means they never have to test out their ideas.)

They have "other ways of knowing," which is just a cop-out because if they actually had knock-down evidence and good reasons to believe what they believe, you bet your butt they'd be marshaling that out and relying on it. They're only facultative empiricists.

"Testing ideas" implies an objective standard that can be used to sort sound ideas (those consonant with reality) from unsound. For these people there is no "reality" other than competing narratives. When objectivity and knowledge are abandoned, coercion is all that remains.
