Same here. I grew up idolizing the free speech activists at Berkeley—expression, skepticism, resistance to the unjust use of state power. But now the political dynamic has flipped. Those same people are now at the controls.

I loved Tom Robbins back when too. Is that odd? HIs way was really sort of this compassionate voluntarism of leave me alone and say what you want and I dug that. WTH happened?
