They've been pushing this for awhile. Criminality is judged not on an axis of right and wrong action, but an axis of oppressor and oppressed. In a sense, the oppressed *deserve* to commit crimes to counterbalance the privilege of their oppressors.

It is already the de facto law. People caught committing crimes while in possession of drugs are released immediately. It is unfortunate because it prevents them from ever getting fully sober. That policy enables addiction without providing any meaningful offramp from addiction

We’ve seen so many instances in 2020 where it feels like the goal is do absolve everyone(the individual) of accountability for anything so they can blame the system on everything. We’re breeding entitled narcissists. Societies need respect for authority and to be held accountable
