Same concept as original sin, but less clear about the path to redemption. But then again, most(?) religions have interesting contradictions and counter-arguments. I'm sure some believe in redistribution of assets and affirmative action while others think strict penance =enough.

It's a weird kind of boast in the end, to say that you are subtly racist. Like: my moral sensibilities are so finely tuned that I can pick up on subtle wavelengths of evil that other, lesser beings cannot perceive.
