Read this thread to understand how our elites are now held hostage to the ideology of "wokeness." They are given a strictly approved vocabulary and any deviation is punished. Every misstep leads to an endless cycle of self-denunciation, apologies, and pledges to "do better."https://twitter.com/darrenwalker/status/1310659341687586818 …

In a recent interview, I used the term “tone deaf” inappropriately & out of context from its literal definition. I am deeply sorry for using this ableist language & apologize to the millions of people with disabilities and the disability community.

This man runs a $13 billion philanthropy at the height of influence and prestige—and yet, he cannot deviate from the accepted language of wokeness. When we fear something so trivial, how can we possible think creatively and independently on much deeper issues?

I would rather be a poor man with the freedom to think than a rich man filled with the thoughts of others.

They have established a false dichotomy of approved buzzwords or verboten slurs that when activated they use as leverage against you by another means. Saw the same thing happen with the inquisition and Salem witch trials

The Inquisition and the witch trials were self-contained events rooted in superstition and metaphysics. Wokeism is as abusive but its is rooted in envy, resentment, and narcissistic solipsism, and it fuels itself by its scorched earth approach in its paranoid quest for power.

Maybe people should just make pre-emptive apology videos without getting too specific. I apologize for my recent insensitive comments.

No, no, no. Pre-emptive! Go with that. "I apologize to everyone I'm about to offend." Perhaps instead of pronouns, folks can list a trigger warning. Trigger Warning: Most things I say can probably be found offensive to some. Not always intentional.

On the other hand, it's pretty cool that SJWs will no longer be able to accuse people of being tone deaf. That used to be one of their favorite weaselly accusations. What phrase are they going to use instead?

Well to be fair, the "elites" are the billionaire hypocrites who build the mental prison for EVERYONE ELSE. If this guy is a hostage to it, he's still just a servant to the .00001% who ACTUALLY run things.
