The reason liberals are crazy over the Court right now goes back 40-50 years, when they won the Culture War resoundingly. Ever since, they’ve believed they have History and Justice in their side, and regard any opposition to them as a violation of the proper Order of Things.
And consevatives have, unfortunately, internalized some of that thinking in the form of doubt, because that culture has become so dominant.
