I understand that many people have deep reservations about the president, but no other political leader has the stones the tackle this head on. Most Republicans would avoid it; a Biden/Harris administration would accelerate it. We fight with the allies we have—and we can win.

True, but he will be gone in a few months or a few years. "Most Republicans would avoid it." is the key sentence here, and that is what has to change. There is no reason for them to avoid it, in order to curry favor with people who hate them.

I get it, but the backlash will be unprecedented. Trump has the capacity to make anything that resembles a credible argument for virtually any topic seem illegitimate to most people, and will probably see it as prudent to push against him, and accept CRT as legitimate.
