I'm having a hard time finding a source for the proposal. Seattle Times doesn't have anything on it. It looks like the main source is the blog of Christopher Rufo, and it seems that he's posted a draft of a resolution, but everyone is calling it a bill. I'll have to look into it.

Third reaction, the guy posting this (
@realchrisrufo) claims in his blog that Seattle plans to "abolish the police and permanently close the region’s largest jail". The words jail and prison don't seem to ever come up in this document, nor in the attached 2020 blueprint.
The jail plan is from the county executive, see my previous tweet thread on this (which was also covered in the local news).

You might want to update your blog post with the source on that, and your other source about abolishing the police. So far the competing resolutions (Sawant vs Everyone else) are various levels of moving funds, no abolishing.
