This legislation to "defund the police" has a real chance at becoming law in Seattle. Four councilmembers—Morales, Sawant, Mosqueda, and González—have already pledged their support to a 50% cut. If they can flip one more councilmember, they can pass it.

One of the many things missing from these charts are any OUTCOMES they expect to see. How are they measuring improved approaches to public safety and health, if that really is the goal that they champion? Shootings? Response times? Robberies? Homelessness counts? Etc.
They demand that citizens accept in good faith that defunding police will result in better outcomes for all. OK, I'll bite. This is terrifying!
There will be a rush to leave, both individual and businesses. One would hope Bezos would have the guts to pull out and let Seattle wallow in the sesspool they are attempting to create. If the citizens do not want this, they need to march the streets in great numbers. Else leave.
I don't know the exact definition of terrorist but their goal here is to terrorize the general public.

The article is really empty, no support. The rationale is just dumb. Without getting into what crime is, and why people commit crime, you just claim that police abolitionists forgot about "evil". Why don't you do some research into what people are calling police for?
