We used to have families of fifteen to twenty people in each house on my block. That’s not the case anymore. The crack house listed for 700,000 sold for over a million. Impossible for today’s family to afford.

For too long left leaning people have been concentrated in cities, diluting their national political influence power. This will accelerate the purpling and blueing of red districts and states.

I think we're about to see the power of demographics play out as well. Read recently (and did not independently verify) that the 29 yo cohort is now largest in the country. That coincides with the peak age of family formation. Happened with Boomers and now Millennials.

Agreed. I grew up in the Bay Area and have worked in SF for a few years. It's gotten way sketchier (and filthy) over time, especially during COVID. Yesterday I was robbed at gunpoint on a friend's doorstep, on his property. That's a strong catalyst for me moving somewhere else.

agree that 2020 will be the period that history will remember as the tipping point in many US cities. Multiple CA cities will suffer financially (and potentially in spectacular fashion) but CA is not alone. People should exit unstable cities immediately.Thanks.
