I saw an overdose death in the Tenderloin tonight. The fire department came and tried to revive the man, but it was too late. They zipped him up in a yellow bodybag and hauled him away. It happened in a city-sanctioned tent encampment. People on the street barely noticed.

I'm of the opinion that 80%+ the addicts coming to SF are on a one-way road to early death and our city government is enabling and funding it. It is *very* hard to detox while living on the streets with cheap drugs all around. You need 16+ clean days to get through detox.
