We live in East Bay where more and more stores are boarding up, and hostages put up BLM signage in residential windows. Went to see my parents in Sacramento yesterday. Were able to have a sit down dinner (a date night, wow!), and saw two BLM tags total, both on commercial.

Excellent! I grew up in Sacramento, lived in Oakland/Berkeley for a number of years. A world apart.

SoCal scene: life is beautiful. Covid restrictions relaxed, people are NOT crowding beaches and still respecting social distancing and masks inside rules, and nothing is boarded up.

I think you meant to say that the mayor ordered the police to leave the precinct in order to deescalate nightly violent confrontations, and it worked. Meanwhile, in this urban metro that you mentioned, I am engaged in normal daily activities with my family.
